Buyong Nongsan (Buyong Farm Products), the “YOUNG FARMERS CARING FOR YAM”, is located near to the Andong Hahoe Folk Village, a place of noble persons, where the unique and magnificent Korean tradition keeps on going freshly in full of life, with the Buyongdae Cliff as a background. Buyong Nongsan has been consistently working on supplying delicious yam and burdock foodstuffs to people as grown up and processed in a clean and completely furnished facility by minimizing the distribution cost. Buyong Nongsan is operated by a group of young, full hearted young farmers with variety of talents and passion for new, creative agricultural innovation in harmony through consistent change for growth, unearthing great value from mother nature. In order to achieve full scale growth of local community, the family members of Buyong Nongsan, as a representative regional business brand, are determined to do our best in striving for innovation in farming focusing its object to a globalized market.

01 HISTORY OF BUYONG NONGSAN


 


2004     Buyong Farm established.


2005     Changed the corporate name to Buyong Nongsan.


           Began sales through open market.


2006     Buyong Nongsan website began operation.


2007     Opened stores (Yangjae-dong, Chang-dong, Bukdaegu) at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.


2008     Buyong Andong Yam Farming Association established.


2010     Buyong Nongsan Food Processing Plant construction completed.


2011     Began powder products manufacturing.


2012     Liquid tea product manufacturing started.


           Certified with ISO 9001, Quality Management System.


           Certified with ISO 14001, Environment Management System.


2013     Designated as an Indigenous Product of Andong City, as granted of using Indigenous Product brand.


           Trademark for “YOUNG FARMERS CARING FOR YAM” registered at the Korea Intellectual Property Office.


           Signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation of Andong National University as a member company.


           Leached tea products (Burdock Tea, Yam Tea) manufacturing started.


2014     Granted of using Excellent Farm Products of Gyeongbuk Province brand.


           Buyong B&F, the subsidiary manufacturing firm, established.


           Opened nation-wide stores at mega-market network of Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.


           Launched products at major home shopping malls of GS Home Shopping, Home & Shopping Mall, and NS Home Shopping.
